Subject: The Committee was appointed on 20th June, 1967, by the Administrator in Council (Tasmania) for the purpose of examining and assessing reports and other available information with respect to the bush fire disaster of February, 1967, and making recommendations with respect to any measures that may reasonably be taken to minimize the possiblity in the future of widespread damage by fire and matters incidental thereto.
