At head of title : Industrial waste strategy
Discusses the techniques for immobilisation of selected hazardous wastes to ensure their safe disposal in conventional landfills. Many wastes that are unsuitable for disposal in a landfill can be entrained in an inert matrix or transformed to an insoluble form so that they become safe to handle and safe to the environment. Not all wastes are suitable for this technique and the procedures detailed in the paper form part of an all encompassing industrial waste strategy
