Drama-documentary. M/S Estonia was a cruiseferry built in 1980 at the German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. The ship's sinking, on September 28, 1994, in the Baltic Sea, claiming 852 lives was one of the worst maritime disasters in modern history. The Surviving disaster series has spectacular CGI, authentic reconstructions, and a distinctive filmic style.
