Review: The first phase of this project revolved around the initial part of the emergency risk management process, namely the conduct of a community survey, which together with subsequent work established: The major risk that face the community; Community values; and Risk regisiters that outlined level and impact of each risk. Apart from progressing work from the first phase, the second phase has focussed on four different streams: Development of treatment options to reduce the risk of hazards occurring or to reduce the affects. This has largely been achieved through two specific LEMAC Workshops; production of a community evacuation plan by a LEMAC sub-group; Production of community recovery plan by a Shire work group in consultationwith other stakeholder agencies; Preparation of an emergency management arrangements document that records the component of the overall emergency response from all relevant agencies in the Shire district.
