Subject: A damaging flood in 1998 prompted the University of Adelaide to review its emergency management arrangements. An emergency management plan was completed in 2000. It set out responsibilities and action in response to emergencies and included a restructured and coordinated Emergency Control Organisation Network, web pages, a Chief Warden's manual, an emergency evacuation planning guide, an emergency response procedures flip-chart (a 'first-response' guide to university workplaces), an emergency equipment store and an electronic data base for after hours emergency contacts.
