"The purpose of the project is to prepare a Community Risk Management Plan through a sub-committee of the Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) which will be incorporated into [the] Local Emergency Management Plan. The aim of the project was: to formally survey approximately 25% of the residential population and key stakeholders to identify concerns that the Community perceive as the main risks to their well-being, and to; identify the perceived concerns of the local community and key stakeholders so our LEMC will be able to formulate strategies to minimize the affects of those risks... This report has a fourfold purpose: to inform the Chief Executive Officer of the Shire of Murray; to inform the LEMC; to meet the reporting obligations to FESA in accordance with the conditions of the grant; and to provide a record of this project."
