In June 1993, a workshop was held in Washington, D.C., to review accomplishments of the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) funded research, to assess directions for the next decade, and to examine policies and administrative procedures that may impact the role of the National Science Foundation in the NEHRP. This report summarises discussions from that meeting and briefly outlines the key accomplishments of past studies as well as critical areas for future research
