This paper presents preliminary results on accident frequencies and severities available from RMP Info, the database set up to store Risk managment Plans (RMPs) and Accident History data filed under Rule 112(r) of the Clean Air Act Amendments. The paper first analyzes which facilities actually filed under the Rule, and then presents results for various segments of the U.S. chemical industry on observed accident frequencies for the period June 21, 1994 through June 20, 1999, covered by the initial filing requirements under 112(r)
