Review: The Baulkham Hills Shire Local Emergency Management Committee (LEMC) was established in 1990 pursuant to the requirements of the Emergency Rescue and Management Act 1989. The Committee brings together all relevant local response and functional organisations within the Baulkham Hills Shire to plan, prepare response and recover from emergencies. Over its fourteen (14) year history, the Committee has developed processes and procedures designed to inform, enthuse and educate its members to ensure its effective capability to respond to any incident.
