September 1997
The California Governor's Office of Emergency Services convened a workshop of California state and local government agencies representing coastal communities and programs. The workshop participants were asked to develop findings and recommendations for the mitigation of the tsunami threat to California. These represent the Strategic Plan that will serve as the recommended priorities to the United States national program, and as a basis to guide future preparedness and mitigation activities within the State.
