Text in English and French
Space exploration and the launching of earth satellites has resulted in the orbital decay of some items which fall to earth as space debris. Recent instances of these unscheduled re-entries occurred with Cosmos 1 and Skylab impacting on Canada and Australia respectively. A contigency plan involving both federal and provinsional government is proposed, consisting of pre-entry, entry and damage assessment phases of coping with a space object re-entry emergency in Canada
