The Australian security environment has changed dramatically in recent years. The 2002 and 2005 Bali bombings and the attack on our embassy in Jakarta in 2004 served as a timely reminder that Australia can face terrorist threats. The Santos Oil and Gas facility at Moomba is a State and National Critical Infrastructure. This facility could be a target for terrorism, and if successful would have a a large impact on the energy supplies within Australia. This is a joint submission by SANTOS Ltd and SA Police.
