The Department of Infrastructure, Planning & Natural Resources (DIPNR) commissioned the Geographical and Environmental Group, Dams and Civil Section to undertake a geotechnical investigation for the flood levees in Lower Hunter Valley, NSW. The work is part of a broader Levee Audit being undertaken by the DIPNR. This report presents the data obtained from field investigation and laboratory testing and discusses the relevant geotechnical aspects of the Lower Hunter Valley flood levees.
