"This Handbook and its Supplement were produced by WORKS Australia and Gutteridge Haskins & Davey Pty Ltd in conjunction with the Insurance Council of Australia and Standards Australia" -- Preface
Pt. 1. Non-cyclone areas -- pt. 1. Supp. 1. Connections -- pt. 2. Cyclone areas -- pt. 2. Supp. 1. Connections
These handbooks provide criteria which will economically reduce, by at least one third, potential aggregate losses due to cyclones from Australian houses built prior to 1 July 1982. Large events such as tropical cyclones create special problems for the insurance industry due to the magnitude of the aggregate loss (accumulation). These handbooks recognise that a significant component of the insured loss associated with damage in tropical cyclone events is due to damage to contents by water entering through the building envelope
