Subject: As a result of a St Philip's College pupil witnessing how students of a sister school in Germany gave assistance at an air disaster, the first Emergency Service Cadet Unit in the Northern Territory (NT) has been formed. The students in Europe had been part of such a cadet unit. This student outreach initiative has the support of the NT Emergency Service Southern Region Headquarters staff. The primary goal of the Unit is for students who become involved to gain greater awareness of safety, and to have a better understanding of emergency management.
