Subject: The SPP development's extensive public consultation process has influenced over 600 key planners, engineers and other officials from Queensland local governments, State Agencies and other organisations to implement the policy in their developmentand planning decisions. Queensland communities are already safer because of this project. The future benefits from the adoption of the SPP will be fewer Queensland families at risk from floods, bushfire and landslides. The States public and private infrastructure will also benefit from the planning and development outcomes required by the SPP through the reduced risk from floods, bushfire and landslides and the consequential reduction in damage caused by these events.
