The Fire and Emergency Services Training Activity (FESTA) 2002 is a unique exercise planned, run and implemented by volunteer Bushfire and Emergency Services personnel from the Guises Creek Volunteer Brigade in the Australian Capital Territory. Endorsed by the ACT Emergency Services Bureau, it received limited financial, administrative and training support from salaried staff. Volunteers from all nine ACT Bushfire and Emergency Service Brigades are invited to participate in the activity. In addition, a NSW Rural Fire Service Unit provided on-site communications support.
