Summary: St John has developed three first aid iphone applications (apps) to address two of the main challenges for people who have been formally trained in first aid: the ongoing maintenance of first aid skills; and immediate access to succinct first aid resources in times of emergency. The three apps (MediProfiles, Resuscitate and First Aid) provide simple, convenient and interactive means for people trained in first aid to review and retain their skills using their iphone. These apps also act as quick reference guides and aide memoirs in times of crises. They are fully compliant with first aid protocols published by the Australian Resuscitaiton Council (ARC) and are completely consistent with first aid information provided by St John through its first aid publications and training courses. In addition, the Resuscitate app allows users to find Public Access Defibrillators (PADs) quickly.
