Subject: A bushfire behaviour modelling system has been developed to support the work of the ACT Bushfire Service, other parts of ACT Emergency Services Bureau (ESB), ACT Government Land Management Agencies and rural lessees. It supports operational needs, risk management needs and gives new insight into safety issues for bushfire crews. It thus helps bushfire managers ensure safety for the ACT community. The system contains a high degree of innovation, and also effectively utilises many recent national advances in bushfire understanding. It is designed to be suitable for use in other jurisdictions.
