The video was produced to instil an awareness of the need for emergency preparedness in young Canadians and to teach them to be self-reliant. Entitled Emergency! the video is the product of extensive research and testing. Testing showed the video can be adapted to fit into many parts of a curriculum, using all or only part of it in a wide spectrum of classes. It is interactive, involving role playing and reflects the various learning styles and skill areas being addressed. While Emergency! is written at the appropriate language level for Grades 7-10, teachers found it equally applicable for both younger and older students.
