Review: "This Exercise tested selected aspects of the ATWS. It also built upon previous fi ndings from Pacific Wave 2008. Any processes tested below national level were the responsibility of each participating jurisdiction. For this Exercise, offshore territories were not a focus, and there was no communication about the simulated tsunami with other countries... In summary, this Exercise highlighted the system?s capability to detect and verify tsunami threats as a result of undersea earthquakes and to notify affected jurisdictions within 30 minutes of an event. The Exercise confi rmed key agencies involved in the dissemination of tsunami warnings have full comprehension of information being conveyed in these messages and that they are able to further disseminate this information for response. As with all testing, there were a few minor anomalies during the course of the Exercise, as outlined in the body of this report." -- p. 8.
