The purpose of this report is to provide hazard mitigation goals and recommendations directed at reducing repetitive flood damage by implementing effective mitigation measures. The goals, established by the Interagency Hazard Mitigation Team (IHMT), are twofold: 1) identify and implement immediate mitigation strategies during the recovery phase; and 2) provide direction from key agencies in the form of recommendations which, when implemented, will reduce repetitive flood damages through long-term, cost-effective mitigation measures
