The Emergency Services Research Development Seminar Series provided the opportunity to trial an approach to the development of research skills for emergency services officers with an interest or responsibility in the area of applied research. For St. John Ambulance Australia participation in this seminar series has provided the impetus for a collaborative national research project between St. John and the University of South Australia. This project investigates factors affecting patient presentation rates and types at mass gatherings attended by St. John throughout Australia
