Illustrates how Eagle Star dealt with the aftermath of the IRA bombing in the City of London in April 1992 when 2 of the company's offices were badly damaged. Explains that the company's focus was to ensure that its recovery plans would enable it to react to events in a structured way, reinstate security immediately, and ensure it could retain business and financial control and deal with all reasonable customer enquiries. Eagle Star employed a command structure borrowed from emergency services and the military, and adapted for business use
