Subject: Assesses the vulnerability of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands to accelerated sea-level rise (ASLR), using the IPCC Common methodology. Provides a critique of the shortcomings of this approach in this case, and gives recommendations. There is insufficient data to draw any firm conclusions on the effect of ASLR on the reef islands. Concludes that the threat of ASLR is not so immediate as to require precipitous action.
