The objective of the project was to analyze fire hazard information materials and procedures with respect to established concepts of risk communication, to identify pertinent socio-psychological processes, and to derive relevant principles which can direct practical proposals for communicating fire risks to the public - both before and during emergencies or disasters - as effectively as possible
