Aims to contribute to the natural disaster insurance environment by considering four main issues: 1/the natural perils to which an Australian insurance company portfolio is exposed; 2/ the assessment of the Probable Maximum Loss (PML) from these natural perils; 3/ the revision of the Natural Perils zoning system recently made by the Insurance Council of Australia; and 4/ the exposures and characteristics of the major cities in Australia.
