Review: The Emergency Services Mapping and Analysis Program (ESMAP) provides significant challenges and opportunities, not only for the Queensland Police and Emergency Services, but also for many other government bodies at Commonwealth, State and Local levels, private industry and the community at large. It also provides significant challenges and opportunities for the information technology industry. These challenges and opportunities derive mainly from the fact that ESMAP is very much a pioneering venture.
