A soil assessment for 2, 3, 7, 8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) was conducted to determine whether the soil in the EDA contains 2, 3, 7, 8-TCDD at levels above the level of concern set by the Centers for Disease Control : 1.0 ppb. Samples of surface soil were selected at 2,274 locations throughout the EDA.
