"A Barry Fair Memorial Scholarship Project"
"A joint Hunter Water Board Management/Union scholarship, 1990"
What happened on 28 December 1989 is now a matter of history. Employees of the Hunter Water Board, at all levels, became part of that history, responding magnificently as they did in the aftermath of the earthquake. Importantly, the Board stood up well as the supplier of essential services, with combined action by the engineers, electricians, technicians, field staff and others to ensure continuity of supply. The damaged buildings and services have now been repaired but, the most important aspect is the continuing recovery process of our most valuable resource - the employees and their families
