Subject: Various research findings from behavioural sciences data are summarised. A model of human response to natural disasters is suggested. This model discusses human response in four phases of natural disaster. The pre-impact phase, the impact phase, the immediate post-impact phase, and the long term impact phase. It is suggested that the behavioural responses in each phase are different and that the interventions necessary for assisting people in each phase require different solutions
