Subject: A Disaster Unit operated in the Waverley Municipal Council from November 12, 1984 to December 6, 1984. Intense rainstorms during the week 5th - 11th November caused flooding of homes and cars were washed away. Alderman Carolyn Markam was Chairman of Community Services and Amenities Committee, Co-ordinator, Disaster Unit, and presented this report at a Council Meeting on December 11, 1984, to explain the activities of the unit during the short period of its existence.
