Material type: TextLanguage: ENG Publication details: OCT 1989Description: 92p., 5 appendices, 9 figs, 24 refsReport number: DE-AC05-84OR21400; DE90-004365; ORNL/TM-11097Subject: This concept plan provides a framework for initiating an emergency management program for the Umatilla Depot Activity (UMDA) stockpile. It develops information and methodologies that bear on two major decisons for such a program - determining emergency planning zones and selecting protective action strategies. These decisons are based on the hazards posed by the UMDA stockpile and its disposal. A conceptually simple methodology for determining emergency planning zone (EPZ) boundaries is developed and applied to the UMDA stockpile, and a recommended EPZ and set of boundaries are identified. The report identifies the advantages and disadvantages of six categories of protective actions - ie. evacuation, in-place sheltering, respiratory protection, protective clothing, prophylactic drugs, and antidotes - and various options among these categories.Item type | Current library | Collection | Call number | Status | Date due | Barcode | |
